Bio: Sa-Roc is otherworldly-figuratively and literally. Since appearing on to the hip-hop scene in 2008, she has upended conventional narratives within the genre, her fiery lyrics peppered with themes of spiritual evolution, social injustice, and messages of empowerment.

An ardent student of the culture, she has crafted, alongside legendary Atlantan producer Sol Messiah, a fresh sound dubbed God Hop. Melding the raw energy and classical precision of the golden era of hip-hop with a lyrical ingenuity and consciousness that sets her light years ahead of her musical peers, Sa-Roc has quickly grabbed the attention of many of hiphop’s established luminaries.

Hailed by as “one of the most formidable microphone mavens in the game “, she has worked diligently to secure her place amongst the legends in her field. Sharing the stage with Black thought, Talib Kweli, Common, Jay Electronica and more, has not only served to broaden her ever growing fan base but speaks to the caliber of skill that Sa-Roc consistently delivers.

The DC born, Atlanta based artist’s influences are notably as eclectic as her style, with musicians as diverse as Gil Scott Heron and Bjork cited as early inspirations.

With 13 albums under her belt and countless live performances at some of the largest hip-hop festivals in the country, Sa-Roc is fast becoming one of the most prolific artists of her time.
